Why is our vision important?
The old saying “Art reflects life” motivates the company to share live, evocative, collaborative performances that engage the human connection to a deeper understanding of our collective journey, touching all the senses so we can experience fully and be transformed. DDA’s Artistic Director, Diana Mighdoll Hoffmaster, lives by this concept and strives to share in the magic and healing that she believes can be experienced through live dance.

The practice of creating and presenting live performance art has always relied on the community to create the work, on bringing an audience to experience the performance, and on supporters who donate their time and resources to ensure the work can be created and seen. To put it simply, creating, presenting, and experiencing live dance is a collective effort. We invite you to be part of this powerful way to foster social cohesion, boost empathy, and support local economies.
